NetSpy Monitor Screens

NetSpy Monitor at a glance

NetSpy Monitor is the server side application you will be using to perform all the tasks necessary to manage your NetSpy network.

The functionality of application is broken up into several categories and represented on separate screens, or pages.

Workstations - is the only page you need for everyday operations. You use this page to charge users and monitor computers. It is also used to remotely lock or unlock workstations as well as perform other computer- and user - related tasks.

Users - is not used very often. Perhaps the only important pieces of functionality on this page are to give users credit (aka sell "Calling Card") and set special users accounts for maintenance purposes or staff (something you could do during initial setup of NetSpy system). Other than that, we suspect you will rarely be visiting this page.

User Types - is where you define payment coefficients for each type of users and set up Windows system logon options for those users. This is one of the two pages you must configure immediately after the initial installation of NetSpy Software (along with Business Objects page) to get started.

Business Objects - contains settings for all items (computers, printers, CDs, snacks and drinks) that you want to charge for. This page is the second of two pages (along with User Types page) you must visit and configure immediately after the initial installation of NetSpy Software.

Reports And History - is where you access historical data, generate text and graphical reports, and do statistical analysis of your establishment's performance.

Database - is a rarely used page. It’s where you can do some low level maintenance operations with your NetSpy database such as connection, backup, optimization, conversion, etc.

Configurations - is where you customize your NetSpy client side appearance, including the logon options, window texts and pictures

Some of the pages (Users, User Types and Business Objects) have similar design. You can see the panel with names of items on a left side and properties of those items on a right side. To modify item settings first select its name, the make the changes you want and press the   button. To add a new item enter its name and parameter values, then click . Pressing will permanently remove the item from database.

The application toolbar has some commonly used buttons used to lock pages, contact tech support, connect to the server and see this help.
